1. Where is Beside the Loch located?
We are based in Onich, Lochaber, right on the shores of Loch Linnhe. Our location is between Glencoe and Fort William, making us an ideal base for exploring the Scottish Highlands.

2. What types of accommodation do you offer?
We offer a mix of cosy self-catering cabins (Rowan, Ash, Birch), Swallow Cottage (a barn conversion), and traditional static caravans. Each has its own unique character and lochside views.

3. What amenities are included with the accommodation?
All accommodation includes a fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom, comfortable bedrooms, fresh linens and towels, free WiFi, parking, and access to drying and storage facilities — perfect for walkers, skiers, and adventurers.

4. Do you allow pets?
Whilst we absolutely love dogs (and cats… and even alpacas!), unfortunately we cannot host them at Beside the Loch. This helps us maintain a peaceful, allergen-friendly environment for all our guests.

5. Is there WiFi/internet access on site?
Yes, free WiFi is available across the property, so you can stay connected while enjoying the tranquillity of the Highlands.

6. What is the “secret beach” at Beside the Loch?
Our guests can enjoy access to a secluded stretch of shoreline at Cuilcheanna Bay, often called our “secret beach.” It’s perfect for a quiet walk, a paddle, or just taking in the loch views.

7. What outdoor activities or things to do are nearby?
From hiking in Glencoe, climbing Ben Nevis, or exploring Fort William, to wild swimming, paddleboarding, cycling, skiing, and boat trips — Beside the Loch is surrounded by outdoor adventure.

8. How far are you from Glencoe, Fort William, and Oban?
We are just 10 minutes from Glencoe, 20 minutes from Fort William, and about an hour from Oban, making day trips and sightseeing easy.

9. What are your check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 4pm onwards, and check-out is by 10am. Early check-in or late check-out may sometimes be available on request.

10. Is parking available at Beside the Loch?
Yes — we offer free on-site parking for all guests, with easy access directly from the A82. We also have EV charging available.
